Assignments for October 26th, 2026
American History
We reviewed Chapters 4 and 5 including the Chapter Review. Then we took Quiz #2, which included Chapter 4 and and just a few things from Chapter 5. Then we covered Chapter 6 and the Chapter Review so that they knew what to study. Be ready to take the test on Chapters 4-6. (We will have a competitive game before the test.) Also, read Chapter 7, and we will go through it if time.

U.S. Government
We reviewed the electoral college and took the quiz. We covered homework assignments in Lessons 5-7 and started on the political parties. For next week study for the test on Chapters 4-6 (We will have competitive game to review before the test.) Also, do Lessons 11 and 12 on the President and Vice President. Quick Looks at Great Books
We tried to catch up today with what they had read read, but we didn’t quite make it! We also watched a section on the DVD. We also went over the questions in the study
guide for today. We will take that quiz next week.
For next week, read Book 3—The Track of the Storm, Chapters 1-10 and answer the study guide questions 59-72. We will take Quizzes 4 and 5 next week.
Adventures in American Literature
We covered the homework for today on pages 47-51. Then we had our reports on the tall tales you were given. (Be sure to be ready to finish yours if you didn’t.)
We will also finish the DVD we were watching on tall tales. For next week, complete pages 52-54 on the frontier hero. We will do page 55 together in class,
